Rapper Lil Nas X was nominated in five categories at the Grammys, including Album of the Year. However, he walked empty-handed, for which he joked that he had more success at the Grammys before he came out. To that, he tweeted that he couldn’t believe he lost all his Grammys, and he will no longer be gay.

Back in 2020, Lil Nas X won two Grammys for his hit Old Town Road, before he came out as gay. This year, he was nominated for five Grammys, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.

However, he lost in each of the categories.

In a typical fashion, though, he kept updating the world from inside the venue during the ceremony using his social media accounts. He shared multiple photos of himself on the red carpet, and performed a medley of his hit songs Montero and Industry Baby.

During the show, he also shared photos of himself with his celebrity friends, including Lady Gaga, Doja Cat, SZA, and Jack Harlow.

  1. I’m assuming that he means he can’t change the minds of some people anymore than he can change his sexuality. At least I hope that’s what he means. Why do we talk so much about people’s sexuality in relationship to anything? I’d hate to not get any accomplishments related to jobs, awards, and the such based on my secxuality.
