Even though it’s only been a week since the coronavirus pandemic sent millions of Americans indoors to self-isolate, it feels like it was a lifetime ago when things were “normal”.
Parents have been assigned to be “homeschool teachers” in most states, and it’s most definitely not an easy task. One mom, though, has decided to share a bit of humor that has emerged from her ‘homeschooling journey’ (even though it’s only been 5 days), and we believe it will make you crack during these difficult times.
Teresa Bolden, like many fellow moms, probably embarked with a fair amount of optimism about how homeschooling for her son Kade was going to go. As you probably know already, parents have ‘flooded’ the internet with their color-coded lesson plans they hoped to implement during their quarantine, often even timed into sections, and Bolden established a similar routine for her son.
However, her son whipped up a work of art that most definitely stopped her in her tracks during the “creative time”, and the mom decided to share the ‘masterpiece’ on Facebook. The mom had encouraged her son to let his creative spirit run a “bit too wild”, and when she was stunned when she saw his drawing.
Yup, that’s right.
One user commented that the boy made a rocketship, while another one added that ‘it’s a beautiful piece of art!’. Well, with all the heaviness that’s been going on in the world right now, we really need a good laugh at a child’s innocence.
Another mom, Laurie Wolfrey Garcia, also shared a hilarious image that was sketched by her child during “art class” at home, and this will probably make you spit your coffee.
This kid truly inspired his/her inner Picasso. I’m literally rolling on the floor laughing right now!
