The legendary Sir Paul McCartney was recently a guest on an episode of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” series, and he rolled through his hometown of Liverpool, sharing memories of the city, surprising fans in his favorite pub, and bringing all us an emotional release with his music.
McCarney and Corden made a trip down to the legendary Penny Lane, and his message of positivity brought Corden to tears.
Most of The Beatles’ music is filled with love, joy, peace, and togetherness, and it’s the kind of music one puts on during the happiest times or the saddest days.
I believe we have all heard it at least a hundred times, but one of the most comforting songs of all times is “Let It Be”, and it turns out that that’s no accident.
McCarney told Corden that it was inspired by a dream of his late mother, and it brought all of us, including Corden, to tears.
McCartney said that his late mom came to his dream and was reassuring him, saying that it’s gonna be OK, just let it be.
So, he wrote down the song, but it was inspired by her positivity.
“That’s the power of music. It’s weird, isn’t it, how that can do that to you?” – he added.
Even though it might sound a little sappy, but all you need is love!
This message is more important in these times than ever, and the Beatles’ continued success is a prove of how much we all need to come together to achieve the joy the group so often sang about.
