Woman Turns The Stump Of A 110-Year-Old Tree Into A Magical Little Neighborhood Library

An artist and librarian has transformed a tree outside her house into a magical, miniature, free library for all her neighborhood to enjoy.

Sharalee Armitage Howard, from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, repurposed the 110-year-old cottonwood tree into the lovely public facility to “make the world a cooler place to live in.”

The pretty little library and book swap is equipped with books, a door, exterior, and interior lighting and some cute book-themed decorations.

“We had to remove a huge tree that was over 110 years old, so I decided to turn it into a little free library, which I’ve always wanted,” the former bookbinder said on Facebook.
